Conference Venue

The 2013 IEEE International Conference will be held at Midland Hotel, Mancheter, UK from 13 to 16 October, 2013.


Travel from Manchester airport

From Manchester airport, you can take train to Manchester Piccadilly train station, taking 20 minutes. From Monday to Saturday, every 10 minutes there is a train. From Manchester Piccadilly train station,

  • you can take tram (direction to either Altrincham or Eccles) to St Peter's Square, taking 5 minutes. Then you can see the hotel on your front right.
  • you can take a taxi.
  • you can walk to the hotel, taking about 15 minutes.

Travel by train

Most trains arrive Manchester Piccadilly train station. You can go to the hotel as above. If you take train to Manchester Oxford Road train station, you can walk to the hotel, taking 6 minutes.

Travel by car

You can set your GPS to Manchester/Peter Street/anywhere or using postcode M2 3GX. The Midland hotel is opposite to Manchester Central Library (a dome building). Because Peter Street is short, you would not miss the hotel. Traveling by car is not recommended because the hotel does not have its own car park. However, parking is available at NCP Manchester Central (formerly known as G-Mex Centre) to the rear of the hotel. If you directly drive to NCP Manchester Central, you can set your GPS using postcode M2 3GX. There is a loading park space behind the hotel on Windmill Street.
